APS is delighted to welcome three new members to the team who joined the organisation recently. Sean Parker (pictured) joins as our new Senior Project Officer with a specialism in geophysics and will be jointly responsible for the expansion of our geophysics work alongside Jonathon Smith. Toni White is our new Site Assistant and has been learning some new skills alongside our Trainee Field Archaeologist, Alex Rowbottom.
Alex fought off stiff competition from over sixty applicants to be successfully appointed to the trainee role. APS is pleased to be able to offer an opportunity providing a supervised entry-level role at a time when there is a recognised shortage of appropriately experienced early career staff within commercial archaeology. APS has a strong track record providing training opportunities, having previously offered posts through CIfA’s Workplace Learning Bursaries and the CBA’s Community Archaeology Bursaries Project.
