Ian Marshman, BA (Hons), MA, PhD, ACIfA, Project Officer
Ian studied at the UCL Institute of Archaeology before moving to the University of Leicester to complete an MA in Roman archaeology. He has recently been awarded his PhD, cataloguing and analysing the signet rings and intaglios known from Roman Britain. Prior to joining the organisation, Ian taught on undergraduate courses at Leicester and has worked on a variety of Roman sites in southern England and abroad.
As a Project Officer specialising in Education & Outreach, Ian is responsible for engaging the public with the work of APS and helps to develop and deliver its community archaeology projects. He co-ordinates the organisation's learning programme, which brings the research and expertise of APS to local schools, colleges and community groups.< team profiles
